What June is like
Summer proper: an average high of 28.1 °C, a low of 18.5 °C and just 1.6 mm of rain, with about 12 hours of sunshine a day. On the coast, Visit Cyprus says, the summer sea breeze keeps things pleasant.
June is the fourth-warmest month of the year in Paphos and the tenth-wettest, with less than 1% of the year’s rain. By day it’s 3.2 °C warmer than May and 2.3 °C cooler than July.
Relative humidity at the airport averages 73% in June, against 70% over the year. These are the averages for Paphos Airport, on the coast 9 metres above the sea; Villa Prasino is in Peyia, on a hillside above the sea at Coral Bay, so take them as a guide to the season rather than a forecast.
What’s open in June
- Lifeguards are on duty on Coral Bay’s Blue Flag beach.
- The Kato Paphos archaeological park is on its summer hours, open until 19:30.
- On the turtle beaches of Lara and Toxeftra, the summer rules apply from 1 June to 30 September: no umbrellas, no sunbeds and no visits at night.
What’s on in June 2027
- Kataklysmos (Orthodox Pentecost Monday), Monday 21 June 2027. The Festival of the Flood; seaside towns, Paphos among them, hold festivities for several days around it.
