Paphos International Airport, run by Hermes Airports, is the closest airport to Coral Bay. By road Coral Bay is roughly 25–29 km away, depending on your route: the Department of Road Transport’s taxi guide gives 28.6 km from the airport to the Coral Beach area, and OpenStreetMap’s route planner 25.2 km.
Villa Prasino is in Peyia, the hillside town that Coral Bay belongs to; Coral Bay beach is about 5 km from the villa. This guide covers the three ways to get there, what to know before you drive, and how we can help. Everything was checked in September 2026.

Which option suits you?
- Arriving late, or a group of five or six? A taxi or a transfer from us is the least hassle: no timetables, and your luggage goes straight to the villa.
- Travelling light, on a budget? The bus is by far the cheapest way, at €2 a ride, if you don’t mind a change in Kato Paphos.
- Planning to explore? A hire car gives you the Akamas, the sea caves and the beaches further up the coast whenever you like.
By taxi
Taxis wait in the taxi area on the right as you leave the Arrivals Hall (level 0), and Hermes Airports says the service runs 24 hours a day. Tell the driver you’re going to Peyia, near Coral Bay, and ask for the fare before you set off.
If there are five or six of you, or you have a lot of luggage, you’ll need a larger taxi, or two. The villa sleeps 6, so a full house usually means planning this in advance.
By bus
There’s no direct bus from the airport to Coral Bay, but you can do it with one change:
- Take route 612 from the airport to the Tombs of the Kings bus station in Kato Paphos. In the timetable published in September 2026 it leaves the airport from 07:30 until 01:00. (Route 613 runs via Geroskipou to Karavela station in Paphos town instead, from 05:50 until midnight.)
- Change to route 615, which runs from the Tombs of the Kings station to Coral Bay along the coast road through Chloraka and Kissonerga. For much of the day there’s a bus every 10–15 minutes, and night buses run from April to November.
- For Peyia village, route 616 runs from Coral Bay up to Peyia Square and on to Agios Georgios, several times a day.
A single adult ticket is €2 (€3 after 21:00) and a day ticket €6.50. You buy them on the bus, in cash, from the driver, so keep some coins and small notes handy. Timetables change with the seasons: check the latest on Pafos Buses (opens in a new tab) or its live journey planner (opens in a new tab) before you travel.
The bus won’t bring you to the villa’s door, so ask us about the last few kilometres before you travel.
By hire car
Five car hire companies, Avis/Budget, Hertz, Europcar, SIXT and Petsas, have offices in the arrivals area, after baggage reclaim. A car also makes it easy to reach the Akamas, about 5 km from the villa, and the sea caves, about 2 km.
Before you drive, Visit Cyprus notes that:
- traffic drives on the left, and road signs are on the left-hand side;
- speed limits are generally 50 km/h in built-up areas and 80 km/h on other roads, and on motorways the maximum is 100 km/h and the minimum 65 km/h;
- seat belts are compulsory in the front and the back;
- hire cars have red number plates, often starting with Z;
- if you’re under 25 and have held your licence for less than three years, you must tell the hire company.
The UK government’s travel advice says you can drive in Cyprus with a UK photocard licence. At the villa there’s a private, gated driveway with space for three cars.
The route
OpenStreetMap’s route planner takes you from the airport onto the A6 motorway towards Paphos, through the town, then north on the E701 through Chloraka and Kissonerga to Coral Bay: 25.2 km in all.
Hire our car instead
You can also hire our car for your stay: a Nissan Pixo (manual) for €25 a day, for a minimum of one week. Ask us how you’d like to collect it when you book.
An airport transfer from us

Arriving with children
Seat belts are compulsory in the front and the back in Cyprus, so sort out child seats before you land: we hire out child car seats and buggies, and we’ll include the price in your quote. - Arriving late? Taxis wait at the airport 24 hours a day, and from April to November the 615 runs night buses between Kato Paphos and Coral Bay.

From Coral Bay to the villa
Coral Bay beach is about 5 km from the villa, which is in Peyia, up the hill. By bus, route 616 continues from Coral Bay to Peyia Square; by car or taxi, ask us for directions before you travel. Before you fly: a checklist
- Driving? Pack your licence (a UK photocard licence is fine) and book your hire car, or ours.
- Taking the bus? Keep some cash for the fares, and check the latest timetables on the day.
- Want to be met? Add an airport transfer to your booking request.
- Children? Ask for child car seats, and our child-safety package if you need it.
- First night? Ask for a grocery pre-stock, and late check-out for your last day.
- Emergencies: the European emergency number, 112, works in Cyprus for ambulance, police and fire.
Flying into Larnaca instead?
Larnaca airport is much further away. The Department of Road Transport’s taxi guide gives 142 km from Larnaca airport to the Coral Beach area, against 28.6 km from Paphos airport, so Paphos is by far the easier choice for Coral Bay.
