For most people arriving with luggage, the Kapnos shuttle or a hire car is the simplest. The buses are cheapest but take more planning.

The Kapnos shuttle to Paphos airport

Kapnos Airport Shuttle runs a shared coach from Larnaca airport straight to Paphos airport. Its reps sit at the Shuttle Bus desk inside the arrivals hall, next to the car rental desks. The journey takes about 1 hour 45 minutes, and it may include a short stop at Choirokoitia or a change of vehicle. It drops you at bus parking number 23, by the entrance of Paphos airport.

A standard single ticket is €20 at the time of writing, and there are three to five departures a day at times that change from day to day. On Friday 9 October 2026, for example, coaches left Larnaca airport at 06:30, 10:15, 12:15 and 18:15. Some days have a very early 02:15 or a late 22:30 departure, which helps with night flights.

You can book online up to 60 minutes before departure, or buy from the reps at either airport. Each ticket includes one piece of hand luggage and one large bag of up to 20 kg. Changes and cancellations are possible up to 24 hours before departure; check the terms when you book.

From Paphos airport, our guide from Paphos airport to Coral Bay covers the buses and taxis for the last leg.

By public bus via Limassol or Larnaca town

There is no single public bus from Larnaca airport to Paphos, but there are two ways to do it in stages.

Via Limassol. Limassol Airport Express runs from Larnaca airport to Limassol, with timetables built around flights. It costs €10 for adults and €5 for children at the time of writing, booked online. It stops at its Agios Georgios Havouzas station and opposite the St. Raphael Hotel. From Limassol, Intercity Buses route 56 runs to Karavella bus station in Paphos in about 1 hour 15 minutes, with departures through the day from 06:00 to 21:00. A single is €5 and a return €9 at the time of writing, paid in cash to the driver. Route 56 starts at Limassol's New Port, and only some early services stop at Agios Georgios Havouzas, so check where your two buses meet.

Via Larnaca town. On weekdays, Intercity Buses runs a through service from the Nikolaidis Building in Larnaca town to Paphos via Limassol, leaving at 05:55, 10:15 and 15:45 and taking about 2 hours 45 minutes. It lists the single fare as €5 + 5 at the time of writing. It starts in town, not at the airport, so you would first need a local Cyprus Public Transport bus or a taxi into Larnaca. Drivers take cash only.

Our guide from Paphos to Limassol and Larnaca has more on the intercity buses in the other direction.

On from Paphos to Coral Bay

However you reach Paphos, the last leg to Coral Bay is on Pafos Buses. A single is €2 at the time of writing, or €3 after 21:00, and a day ticket is €6.50, all paid to the driver on the bus.

Route 607 also runs, Monday to Saturday, from Karavella via Chloraka and Kissonerga to Peyia. In the evenings from April to November, route 615 leaves Tombs of the Kings every 20 minutes from 18:00 to 23:40, then at 00:15 and 00:40. If you land late, a taxi for the last part is often easier.

Driving from Larnaca airport to Paphos

A hire car gives you the most freedom, and on the Paphos side of the island you will probably want one anyway. At Larnaca airport the rental offices are in Arrivals, after baggage reclaim; the companies there include Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Sixt and Petsas. Hire cars carry red Z plates.

The route is motorway almost all the way, and there are no toll roads in Cyprus. Leave the airport on the A3, join the A5 towards Limassol, carry on along the A1 to Limassol, and then take the A6 west to Paphos. Cyprus drives on the left, the motorway limit is 100 km/h with a minimum of 65 km/h, and GOV.UK says you can use a UK photocard driving licence.

By taxi from Larnaca airport

Taxis wait at Larnaca airport 24 hours a day, at the taxi area on the right as you leave the arrivals hall at Level 0. Urban taxis must use the taximeter. The official tariff in 2026 is:

TariffStart farePer km
Day (06:01 to 20:30)€3.80€0.95
Night (20:31 to 06:00)€4.80€1.10

There is also a charge of €1.40 per piece of luggage at the time of writing, plus surcharges on public holidays and for five or six passengers. At 133 km or more, the distance makes this the most expensive option, so ask the driver for an estimate before you set off.

When flying into Larnaca makes sense

Paphos airport is much closer to Coral Bay, so it is usually the better choice. Larnaca can still be worth it if:

  • your local airport has no suitable flight to Paphos on your dates
  • the Larnaca fare is much lower, even after the shuttle or car hire
  • you land late at night and a Kapnos night departure fits
  • you plan to spend a few days on the east of the island first

Our flights to Paphos checker shows which UK airports fly to Paphos, so you can compare before you book. Once you are settled, our guide to things to do in Coral Bay will help you plan the days.
